• The Bizzy Story

  • Bizzy Coy is a writer.

     

    She primarily writes short humor, short fiction, non-fiction storytelling, screenplays.

     

    Her short humor has been published in The New Yorker, McSweeney's, Vulture, Splitsider, The Belladonna, Points in Case, The Establishment. Her short fiction has been published in Litt Magazine and Grand Journal.

     

    She has received a 2022 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship in Screenwriting, 2020-21 Fulbright Fellowship to Ireland, 2017 MacDowell Fellowship, DVAA Individual Artist Grant, Puffin Foundation Grant and the Catskill Center's Platte Clove Artist Residency.

     

    She has read her work aloud at events hosted by Deep Water Literary Fest, An Evening of Humorous Readings, WJFF Radio Catskill, Yarnslingers, Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, Wurtsboro Art Alliance, Dublin City University.

     

    She graduated with a BA in Theater from SUNY Geneseo and an MA in Creative Writing from Dublin City University.

     

    She works as a freelance copywriter. She previously worked for digital agency Situation Interactive and the Blue Man Group. 

     

    She grew up in the suburbs of Rochester, New York and currently lives in Sullivan County, New York.
